Build Innovative Skills in Your Teams

Training

We believe that learning and developing skills to become innovative requires behavior changes that are best learned through time and repetition. Our training programs provide highly-experiential activities that may span over three to six month months and may combine any combination of  in person, virtual and hybrid  training and coaching. This ensures that once the initial training is over, the participants learn to apply their skills in their job, practice and have an opportunity to discuss successes and challenges with peers and a coach.

We use a blend of Creative Problem Solving, Design Thinking, and Ethnographic approaches for developing innovative process as well as the Foursight® instrument to help build more innovative teams. Our customized programs last three months to a year and focus on building skills through applied training then in job learning and individual and team coaching as well as booster programs and reflection.

Coaching

We have learned that training is not enough to really change behaviors and tackle complex challenges. Complementary coaching services ensure that, once the initial training is over, teams and/or individual can get the customized support they need for their on-going project. Coaching support may include helping preparing meeting outlines, selecting best tools for collaborative meetings, weekly check-up discussions with the team to support them moving forward on an innovation project or supporting a team doing some ethnographic research and interviews.

Our coaching is different from general coaching —we focused exclusively on supporting innovation projects and a team’s ability to create impactful change.

The Challenge

A small fashion industry company was looking for ways to grow and develop their business and improve their innovation process for launching new collections and line of products.

The Process

Over a couple of years, Strategic Insights consulted with the team to help them better understand their team dynamics using the Foursight assessment test, train them in the principles of design thinking and facilitate a series of innovation sessions to help create and test new collections and product line extensions quickly and efficiently.

The Results

This work helped the team better collaborate, gain some insights on the team dynamic and learn new ways to develop and test innovative collections by embedding user testing and feedback thus providing a more efficient way of selecting their new products,  meeting production deadlines and decrease failure rates.
